Rebecca DeMarino is the author of biographical historical fiction. Her most recent novel, Dolley and James, A Story of Love, Power, Unity, and America's First Lady (WestBow Press/Thomas Nelson, 2026) follows James Madison's rise to fourth president of the United States, Dolly's transformation from a young Quaker widow to America's beloved hostess and heroine. She is also the author of The Southold Chronicles (Revell/Baker Publishing Group), a series based on the lives of her ninth great-grandparents, who sailed from England in the 1600’s and were one of thirteen founding families of Southold, Long Island. The series includes A Place in His Heart (2014), To Capture Her Heart (2015), and To Follow Her Heart (2016). She is published in Guideposts and Angels on Earth magazines.

She is an intrepid researcher who slips back in time through primary documents, original artifacts, and conversations with brilliant historians. Her research travels have taken her from Long Island, NY, to England; Washington state to Washington DC; and Pennsylvania to Virginia. She and her husband Tom reside in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
